Lightning never strikes twice. You'll want to.

You are a bolt of lightning. Every tap flips your direction, so the path you carve down the sky is a zigzag. Thread through birds, kites, planes and skyscrapers, fly dangerously close to charge up, and land on the lightning rod far below.

Survive 15 strikes to clear the storm. Then keep striking for a high score, if you dare.

How to play

  • Tap, click, Space or any gamepad button to zig and zag.
  • Fly close to danger without touching it. Each near-miss builds your multiplier and charge.
  • Fill your charge to earn an Overcharge, which smashes through one obstacle.
  • Land on the rod. Hit dead center for a bullseye.

Features

  • One button, deep skill
  • 15 strikes through countryside, town, city and supercell to the Eye of the Storm
  • Daily Storm: the same storm for everyone, every day
  • 15 medals to earn
  • Plays in your browser on desktop and mobile

Daily Storm challenge

A new storm starts every day at 00:00 UTC, and everyone plays the same one. Post your Daily Storm score in the comments, and screenshots of your bolt mural are welcome.

Prefer a real leaderboard? Strike Twice is also on Wavedash, with a global high score board, a Daily Storm board every day and 15 achievements.

The one button zigzag is instantly readable, and the BIRD, DON'T TOUCH label on the first hazard is a neat way to teach without a tutorial screen. Landing my first strike on the rod with the +300 popping up felt great. A tiny bit more time before the first bird would help new players feel the rhythm of the taps.

Thank you for playing! Good to know you enjoyed my game. I'll keep your suggestion in mind for future updates.
